Alexander Van Ness, LMT
Alexander shares his love of Norse culture and history in every way. He is a Viking reenactor, an Asatru gothi, and is dedicated to promoting the Scandinavian model of health and wellness.
Alexander has been a licensed massage therapist in the greater Cleveland area since 2012, Alexander specializes in working with athletes, and performing medical massage. He has successfully helped WWE & AEW stars, American Ninja Warriors, world-class martial artists, professional musicians, and people from all walks of life on their road to recovery. His training and background includes craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, neuromuscular techniques, trigger point therapy, and active release massotherapy.
Alexander is a second-generation massotherapist after his mother, Donna Boswell, the former president of the Ohio State Massotherapy Association. He apprenticed with her and became a practitioner of Boswell Technique: a light-touch therapy that brings the benefits of medical massage to populations that cannot tolerate pressure. These populations include the elderly, cancer patients, hospice patients, and people in the acute stages of injury.
As a professional musician and medieval martial artist, Alexander is personally familiar with the havoc an injury can wreak, and he holds a deep commitment to helping others return to their normal activities quickly and safely. Alexander’s use of medical massotherapy knowledge helps you overcome injury, define your goals, and achieve your full potential at work or at play.
